Heal Your Heart With EECP® Therapy Author Dr. Debra Braverman Summarizes Published Trials in The Use of EECP® Therapy

Dr. Braverman's book, Heal Your Heart With EECP® Therapy, published in 2005, was a comprehensive guide to EECP® Therapy written for the general public. In her review article, Dr. Braverman states, “Despite the marked success rates of EECP® achieves, the treatment remains largely unknown. This review article will summarize the current evidence for the use of EECP® and spark a better understanding of the potential role of the treatment."

The article includes a description of EECP® Therapy, a discussion of its mechanism of action, a review of the clinical evidence, its significant impact in heart failure patients, the cost savings that EECP® Therapy can provide in today's challenging healthcare environment and the future role of EECP® Therapy as it gains greater acceptance by physicians.

Dr. Braverman is Clinical Associate Professor of Rehabilitative Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, as well as the Director of EECP® in the Division of Cardiology at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She is a graduate of Cornell University Medical College (now known as the Weill Medical College of Cornell University) and is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Braverman has been involved in EECP® Therapy for over ten years as the founder of the Braverman Heart Centers in Philadelphia, PA and has treated thousands of patients with EECP® Therapy successfully.
